Braun Series 3 370 Men’s Shaver Customer Reviews
Bottom line for those who want the info first. Close shave, easy to clean, and very quiet. Not cheap but what good electric razor is these days? I put this razor up against a couple Panasonics and the old 3-370 design. Same number but different shaver with the old style Braun rocker head types. That shaver works alright but needs several passes to get the job done. It isn’t the best they’ve made but adequate for a decent and thorough shave. Enter the new 3-370. What strikes the user upon first impression is its quiet motor. Shaving is a bit closer than the older 3 series but not as close as any of the top line Braun or Panasonic Linear series. The normally floating front head and middle long hair trimmer can be locked down but one has to wonder why they designed this as there is little difference when they are locked. Removing the head is simple as pulling up on each side and lifting up. The cutting blades are enclosed inside the foil assembly and can not be removed, or if they can, I haven’t figured it out, nothing in the directions, and am not willing to risk breaking the plastic housing. Simply lightly tapping the bottom of the head assembly on a hard, dry surface will remove most of the cuttings. A caution about cleaning with hard water; Over time, scaling can cause build up in the cutting block assembly and use for cleaning is not advisable. Rinsing or cleaning with soap is out also unless you can rinse it with distilled or highly filtered water. Even then, build up between the blades can not be properly cleaned thus I personally would not do it and one has to wonder why they did not design the foil and cutting heads to be separable. I am a bit disappointed at how much plastic is used. The material is not as solid as the older aluminum type bodies that seemed much more durable. In short, don’t drop this shaver on a hard floor or tile as it will likely cause damage. It provides a nice shave but there could be better choices. If it were to cost about 30.00 less, it might represent a better value. Would I recommend it? Yes but more so for a better price. I paid Amazon’s 89.99 price and I suspect it will cost more from other vendors. This shaver does not come with the head cleaner system.
