A fast shave, but still junk – Xenosaiyan – California, USA
If you’re going to buy this, that’s good because it does give a quick shave. It shaves very fast, but that’s only the good news. The bad news is that it irritates my skin beyond belief, and it gives a poor shave. Not close at all, I give up I’m gonna throw this thing away.

I purchased two of these approximately year ago one for house and one for corporate apartment. Less then 4 months starting having problems with getting them to make contact in the cleaning charging station. I used wide range of items to try to hold the shaver in place; and now nothing works. They are not worth the money; plus you have to continue buy the cleaning solution. Not long after I started having the problems with Brauns I purchased a Panasonic wet dry shaver for travel purposes. I actually used the Panasonic more than the Brauns; it shaves cleaner closer and definitely a lot easier to clean and you don’t have to buy any cleaning solution-had zero problems with it.

Shaver Foil lasted only 6 months instead of 18 – Concerned Consumer – Miami, FL USA

I bought six months ago the Braun Series 5 Type 5646 and have been using since then two or three times at week. When I read the Manual I noticed that the 2 year limited warranty excludes the shaver foil and the cutter block, I also notice that the manual recommends replacing every 18 months (18-hole golf course). Last week after only six months of use the shaver foil got a loose part while I was using, exactly is an exterior little steel segment that goes side to side securing a cobalt blue part. I went to Target to buy a new shaver foil and I notice that is sold with the cutter block included and that makes this part expensive (US.99 + tax)and that is when I realized that Braun does not include that part in their warranty. The company advertised this part will need to be replaced after 18 months and it only lasted 6 months which I consider an expensive product because when I bought the shaver I thought it would last 18 months as they advertised it. I think the company should sell the shaver foil without including the cutter block, reduce the 18 months claim and that will make less expensive the shaver maintenance and better information to the consumer.
